ISH India powered by IPA: Building the foundation for India’s sanitation and urban development technology needs

A successful launch with high business focus drives 35% of the exhibitors to sign up for 2018

The latest addition in the highly successful global series of ISH events, ISH India powered by IPA, marked a successful launch with a visitor attendance of 6,132 trade professionals and an overwhelming business response. The Build Fair Alliance (BFA), a combination of some of the build industry’s most reputed fairs with Messe Frankfurt’s globally renowned platform, represented the perfect one-stop sourcing platform for this sector in Greater Noida this year attracting visitors from across the country.

Ms Gorika Shyam, Head of Sales, Geberit India said: “We met a lot of potential clients at ISH India powered by IPA – and more importantly, focused customers who showed keen interest in our products. We are hoping to close a lot of deals after the fair. Brand ISH is known for its building technology exhibits, and worldwide this is a well-known brand which pulls in quality crowd. We want to see the platform grow similarly in the coming years and you will see us in Bangalore next year as well.”

Three days of pure business networking initiated discussions between the stakeholders that are expected to lead to deal closures for several exhibitors. One of the prominent players in the MEP turnkey contracting space, Mr Lalit Lahory, CEO, Sobha Projects & Trade Pvt Ltd confirmed: “I was able to see a lot of new systems and experience the latest market trends at the show. This is the first time that such an arrangement of Build Fair Alliance has come together which is a wonderful idea. I have had preliminary discussions with few of the key exhibitors at the show and I am looking forward to take forward this business relation with them. We are waiting for a show like ISH India powered by IPA at Bengaluru as it is one of the most promising markets for the sector.”

Another leading market player who is positive about closing deals for his new product launch at the fair is Jain Irrigation. Mr Hemant Mutha, the company’s Head - Marketing, said: “ISH India and IPA collaboration has created a focused platform – with stakeholders from the entire value chain visiting the show including – consultants, contractors, landscaping architects and designers among others. This has been a good lead point for us. For our new product launch, customers have said they are willing to take the discussion to the next level following which closure of many such deals will surely happen.”  

Over 35% of the exhibitors re-book for 2018 edition on the show floor 

With the brand name attracting visitors from the right segments and the close alliance with leading building technology fairs alongside, exhibitors affirmed the business potential of the platform with many of them confirming their participation on the show floor itself for the next edition in 2018. Among the 68 exhibitors at the debut ISH India, some of the key confirmations have come from market leaders including Acquaviva, Bradford White Water Heaters, Huliot Pipes, Lehry Valves, Sloan India, Rajco Metals, Vernet among others.  

Mr Gautam Ghosal, Executive Director, Schell India said: “ISH India powered by IPA is an extension of ISH Germany and the name itself brings a lot more visitors here. Compared to other exhibitions we have had a great experience and have been very busy here. Together with BFA, it has made a lot more sense for our industry. We will continue to be part of ISH India on a regular basis.” The company displaying technologies useful for pressure-oriented applications received enquiries for its flush systems and electronic taps which were newly introduced.

Visiting the show purely for networking and market survey, Mr Bantwal Ramesh Baliga, CEO, Watertec India Pvt Ltd also confirmed to have booked space for the next edition due to the fair’s high business-potential. He said: “Watertec is into the manufacturing of CVP, PVC, Pump Fittings & Bathroom Fittings and ISH is a show that suits our product profile. I was here mainly for networking and market survey and could see a lot of product launches and comprehensive product displays. We have already booked our space to participate at ISH India powered by IPA in Bengaluru. Build Fair Alliance is an amazing conglomeration from the business perspective.”

Keeping pace with India’s sanitation and urban development demands, ISH India powered by IPA will return as part of the Build Fair Alliance to target decision makers across the country from 22 – 24 February 2018 in Bengaluru.
